About
How America Moves shows where people and their income move between U.S. counties and states, using public IRS migration data. The goal is a fast, clean, neutral tool: the numbers, presented clearly, with the caveats where you can see them.
We present figures and let you draw your own conclusions. We do not assert why people moved, and we do not frame income migration as economic gain or loss. The data covers tax filers only.
